Our 10 point health check covers all the basics to ensure your pet is healthy and happy

pet-xamWhen it comes to your pet you want them to be healthy and happy at all times don’t you? The best way you can ensure this is to have your furry friend checked over by a veterinary professional once a year.

The majority of conditions that household animals are susceptible to don’t have any symptoms; this means that your pet could have a problem you’re unaware of. By seeing a vet regularly you can rest assured that your pet is in the best health. It also means that any conditions can be spotted earlier rather than later, making successful treatment more likely.

At Towerwood Vets we have specially designed a 10 point health check that covers all of your pet’s basics. When you bring your four legged friend to see one of our friendly experts you can relax in the knowledge that no aspect of their health has been missed, because we’ve covered the following:

  • Eyes
  • Teeth/Claws
  • Ears
  • Heart and lungs
  • Abdomen
  • Skin (lumps and bumps)
  • Joints and muscles
  • Weight/Diet
  • Anal glands
  • Microchip check

Once the vet is satisfied that you pet has been thoroughly examined they will happily explain their findings to you in a language you understand. It is important that you are aware of what you are being told so that you can continue to deliver the best care for your furry friend.

If your pet requires medication after their examination one of our highly experienced nurses will dispense it for you. They will then provide you with great tips on how to administer it, and answer any questions you may have.

As well as each having a wealth of knowledge when it comes to caring for animals, our nurses also hold regular clinics that could be beneficial to your pet. If you have been told to monitor your furry friend’s weight for example, you may wish to speak to one of our nurses about the additional help and advice they can offer you.
