Our team work hard throughout the year, so when our clinic is closed over Christmas our team will be enjoying a well earned break to rest and enjoy time with family and friends. There is always an emergency vet on call however in the Leeds and Bradford areas, so if you need to see one of our veterinary colleagues who will be covering emergencies and on calls at any time when our clinic is closed, please call 0113 267 8419 or 01274 610627 and you will be diverted to our veterinary colleagues.
The team wish all of our clients a very Happy Christmas and New Year, and we look forward to caring for your treasured pets throughout 2020.
Our practice is open to support you and your pet 7 days a week. Our general opening times are 8am-7pm weekdays, Saturday 9am-12noon and 3pm-6pm, Sunday 10am-12noon.
We want to ensure your pet has the best of care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a small practice in a modern world it’s essential that our vets and nurses are always there to help, but we have our limitations as a small team and it’s vital that we ensure our team have a good quality of home, as well as work, life.
Between the hours of 8pm and 8am on weekdays, Saturday 6pm-9am Sunday and Sundays 12noon- Mondays at 8am our emergency phone calls are taken by our emergency services provider at either Holly House in Morton or Leeds Emergency vets in Morley. If you are a Greengates client our emergency calls for this area are taken by Vets Now Bradford and Leeds Emergency Vets in Morley. If your pet needs to be seen in an emergency all our out of hours partners have a dedicated night vet and nurse who will see your pet straight away if you need help. They are also able to provide emergency advice over the telephone, and you may be able to see your pet through to the next morning with their advice and then come to see us the following day.
To speak to them out of our normal hours, dial our usual telephone number 0113 267 8419 or 01274 610627 and you will be diverted straight to them. Please be sure to have any details of your pets current condition and any medication they may be taking handy.
If a pet in need is admitted to our clinic at Cookridge, or admitted and transported over from our Greengates branch, then wherever possible your pet will be looked after by our own team. We will NEVER transport any patient admitted and treated by us to our emergency provider unless absolutely unavoidable. Our team will look after your pet on the premises, checking or even staying with your pet overnight whilst they have treatment.
If your pet is seen by our emergency provider, and is admitted overnight, and you would like our team to continue your pets care the following day, then providing your pet can travel we will organise for your pet to transfer to our Cookridge clinic the following day.
