Meet Ming! She joined us in summer 2019 as a new graduate veterinary surgeon, and has quickly settled in to working life within our practice team. She has always loved animals, but didn’t think about being a vet until high school when she did a placement at a clinic and zoo. She was amazed by how much vets do, including performing surgery on a goldfish during her placement! She enjoyed science and problem solving so combining the two passions felt like the right thing for her career.
Ming enjoys working with the wide range of cases that we see at the practice, and is enjoying learning about both conventional and alternative treatment options for animals. She thinks it sounds super cliché, but her favourite moments really are when poorly pets recover, or when she’s learning complex clinical procedures and the rewards that this brings to both her and pet owners when their pets get better.
Away from work Ming’s passions in life include food and travelling. She loves to cook/bake and recreate dishes at home. Nature is really important to Ming, she loves spending time outdoors, and loves to read.
