Meet Amy! She joined the team at the end of 2018 as a student veterinary nurse working towards her qualifications. She loves working with animals and has had horses and dogs all her life. As a result she has always dreamed about having a career working with animals. She started looking after animals at a yard when she was younger, looking after goats, pigs, horses, rabbits etc and knew this was what she wanted to do.
Amy’s passion is looking after the inpatients before and after any surgical procedures they might be having, or if they are staying for treatment because they are poorly. She enjoys getting to know them better along with their humans, and helping the team to care for them.
She has a horse called Jake, a cat called Tipsy who ended up at the vets after been found at a tip when she was only a kitten, Amy soon fell in love with her and couldn’t resist taking her home. Amy also has 3 dogs who live in Spain with her mum.
